Breaking in REL subwoofers will be rewarded by many years of pleasurable use. Both the electronics and the drive unit will benefit from an initial period of carefully controlled use. Possible damage may be sustained by running in the unit at too high a volume setting over an extended period. On the other hand, by taking a little care over this initial period, about 24 hours of actual use, a longer life with a higher potential eventual performance is assured.

You mention "carefully controlled use" for the break-in period without providing any guidance as to what that really means. My assumption is, to play a variety of bass centric/heavy music at a mid-higher volume to break the sub in. Again, that is my assumption. Looking for some additional guidance from the experts. Thank you. My pair of T/5x's arrive tomorrow and will be replacing a single T/7x, (which is amazing by itself). I want to break them in properly to get years of incredible sound from them.
