Because REL are engineered to produce foundational low bass, it is beneficial to place a single REL into a structural corner at the front of the room, immediately behind the main front speakers. If don’t have space to place your REL in the corner don’t worry, you can place the subwoofer along any wall and still enjoy the low frequency extension that a REL provides. If you don’t have any walls you can place the subwoofer in what we call open air. Keep in mind that the low frequency waves will not be able to pressurize the room as easy so you may need to increase the gain slightly.
